Dr David Ong is an experienced gastroenterologist with a focus on treating inflammatory bowel diseases, such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. He is also skilled in managing conditions of the stomach, bowel, and liver. Dr Ong was the head of gastroenterology and hepatology at the National University Hospital and currently serves as a visiting senior consultant. He holds an adjunct associate professorship at the National University of Singapore and serves as the incoming president of the Gastroenterology Society of Singapore. Dr Ong has helped establish the inflammatory bowel disease unit at NUH and has published extensively in this area. Additionally, he has served on several advisory boards of pharmaceutical companies and has been a speaker at numerous conferences.
