Aroma Yin Yoga and Sound Bath with Alina Uchida & Amanda Ling

Join Healing Arts Practitioner, Amanda Ling and Alina Uchida, Clinical Herbalist & Aromatherapist, Founder of Abundant Earth for an introspective yin yoga practice infused with scent and sound.

Yin yoga is a slower paced practice, based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Yin Yang philosophy. The practice begins from the feet and focuses on the lower body, which increases blood and energetic (qi, prana) circulation within the internal system to help ground and rejuvenate your entire being.

Postures are often held between 2-5 mins to allow a deep sense of release within the deeper connective tissues, fascia and joints in the body. This is a great complement to the dynamic (Yang) practices of yoga and exercise.

Various scents will be introduced throughout, to complement the yin practice and singing bowl session. Aromas are a powerful trigger for memories and emotions, and may be used to facilitate a calm, clear, and relaxed physical and mental state. Essential oils are carefully selected to enhance relaxation, tension release, breathwork, vitality, movement, reflection, and rest.

Be prepared to go into a deep sense of stillness and meditative state in Savasana, through a deep vibrational sound bath with singing bowls, and a grounding mist of warm, earthy, aromas.

Amanda and Alina's gentle guidance during this session allows participants indulge in a nourishing and replenishing yin flow, enhanced by sound and scent, to enjoy and experience the present moment.
